And with a passion for sports, the Crown Prince of Dubai took the opportunity to go spearfishing too.
Over the weekend, videos and photos of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum circulated over social media as fans of the ruling family appreciated his enthusiasm for diving.
The video, posted by @maj on Instagram, shows Shaikh Hamdan before he plunges into the water, and then as he dives in the water and catches a massive fish with a spear.
He then poses with his catch of the day, showing off his impressive spearfishing skills.
