With the recent launch of Shiffa Dubai products in Abu Dhabi's boutique spa, Sisters Beauty Lounge, I went to see if these treatments were as impressive as their reputation suggests.
The Shiffa Skincare treatment menu is enticing — each description pertains to pampering at its best. I opted for the Touch Facial together with the Precious Minds add-on. Sisters prides itself on attention to detail and if — like me — you arrive parched and peckish, fear not for their hospitality extends to coffee and cake so that you feel fully refreshed before embarking on your luxury treatment.
After a consultation with the therapist, I was given a relaxing foot bath and was then invited to lie back and relax with a heated bean pillow soothing my lower back and soft fluffy towels covering my body. I could feel the stress slipping away.
As the therapist began applying a wonderful combination of soothingly aromatic Shiffa products and soft, steamed towels, the "Shiffa" experience was tangible. The facial purifies and exfoliates and the facial massage stimulates the circulation to leave your skin glowing. The final touch is Shiffa's Healing Balm — a combination of shea butter, Indian neem, lavender, mango butter, and meadowfoam — all of which nourish, heal, soothe and revive the skin.
The second treatment — Precious Minds — is an ideal way to relieve stress from the head, neck and shoulders. The 30-minute head massage uses de-stressing hair oils to melt away tension and stress. Both treatments complemented each other beautifully. I recommend the Shiffa Dubai experience but make sure you have the rest of the afternoon free, as this is a treat to savour.
