Ajman: His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has issued the emiri decree No 15 for 2011 for re-organising the Department of Port and Customs in Ajman.
The decree is issued with the aim to enhance the development of the port of Ajman by providing it with the latest equipments, mechanisms and other requirements of work.
The decree also is part of the diligence to improve the performance of the facilities of the Department of Ports and Customs in Ajman, reorganise and qualify them for several tasks entrusted to them and to improve the quality and effectiveness of services provided by the Port of Ajman to clients from shipping companies, importers and exporters and others.
Under the Decree the Ajman Ports and Customs Department shall have full legal and juridical personality and will have the jurisdiction to exercise all activities and legal actions, financial and administrative, which lies within the scope of its competence in order to achieve the objectives assigned to it.
