Two MPs have been fined in Jordan for violating post-election restrictions.

Dubai: The Jordanian Public Prosecutor imposed a fine of JD 1,650 on two members of parliament in Irbid Friday, according to a security source.

The two MPs violated defence law orders by holding post-election celebrations and gatherings, the source added.

On Thursday, nine elected members of parliament have been summoned for investigation regarding lockdown violations. Their case will be referred to the Public Prosecutor Sunday.
