Yemen's Houthis attack Saudi Arabia's Abha airport
Dubai: The Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthis in Yemen said a "hostile projectile" fired by the Iran-aligned group landed in Abha airport late on Wednesday but caused no injuries, Saudi state news agency quoted the coalition military spokesman as saying early on Thursday.
Colonel Turki Al-Malki said, “the Houthi terrorist militia continues its immoral practices by targeting civilians.”
“The continuation of such acts of terrorism and high quality capabilities proves the Iranian regime's involvement in supporting the Houthi terrorist militia and the continued violation of relevant Security Council resolutions,” he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the coalition destroyed a Houthi drone fired towards Saudi Arabia from Yemen.
The drone was launched by the militants from Sanaa - the then capital city they overran in 2014, triggering the conflict with government forces.
