Saudi Arabia: Umrah, prayers at Grand Mosque restricted to COVID-19 immune only

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah said performance of Umrah and prayers at the Grand Mosque will continue to be restricted to people with immunity against COVID-19, local media reported.

The ministry announced that the three categories of people who are immune to coronavirus, including the vaccinated, those who received the first dose and the recovered, are the only people to be allowed to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque.

The ministry will continue to apply the same procedures it adopted during Ramadan.

Only those who have received either one dose or two doses of a vaccine approved in the Kingdom and those who have recovered from the infection will be able to apply and receive permits for Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque.

They can apply to get Umrah and prayer permits through Eatmarna and Tawakkalna apps.
