Saudi Arabia to offer Red Sea cruises for first time

Tourism Authority bids to kick-start industry after coronavirus lockdown

Abu Dhabi: Cruise ships are to set sail from Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast for the first time as part of the Saudi Summer initiative with the slogan “tanaffas,” Arabic for breathe, Saudi media reported.

The Saudi Tourism Authority is trying to to kick-start the industry as the kingdom begins to emerge from the coronavirus lockdown.

Travelers are promised an ultra-luxurious, red sea coast adventure, full of epicurean delights, live entertainment, and every imaginable luxury. 

Cruise ships will depart from King Abdullah Economic City via two routes, one lasting three nights and the other four, passing through Yanbu.
