Saudi Arabia ships 1.2 million copies of Quran to 29 countries

Also distributes 200,000 disposable Zamzam water bottles in the Grand Mosque

Dubai: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has begun shipping 1.2 million copies of the Holy Quran in various sizes and 21 languages to 29 countries around the world, local media reported.

The move comes as part of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gifts program.

The shipment is being done in coordination with Saudi Arabia’s embassies and the Islamic and cultural centers affiliated to Saudi Arabia in those countries.

Zamzam water

Meanwhile, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has said it is distributing 200,000 disposable Zamzam water bottles every day to Umrah performers, worshipers, and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan while adhering to the precautionary measures being implemented in the Grand Mosque, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The water distribution covers the Mataf and the public prayer squares on the first floor as well as King Fahad and King Abdullah expansions.

Nearly 20 individuals are deployed at all entrances and staircases carrying cylindrical Zamzam water bags to provide Zamzam water to the visitors and worshipers.
