Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to sight the crescent of the month of Shawwal on Tuesday evening, Ramadan 29, 1442 H, which corresponds to May 11, 2021, local media reported.

If the moon is seen with the eye, the committee will announce the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid Al Fitr.

UAE holiday

According to a tweet by the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the public holidays on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr in the UAE will be from Ramadan 29 until Shawwal 3. This means residents benefit from a long weekend.

These will be paid holidays for private and public sector employees.
