Dubai: Two Saudi men have been arrested for pushing an expatriate man into a water canal in a wild area of Riyadh, local media reported.

A video, which was filmed by one of the suspects, showed them while pushing the victim into the canal and making fun of him. The man then pulled himself out of the water and was helped by onlookers.

Major Khaled Al Kureidis, spokesman for the Riyadh Police, said the suspects, in their 40s and 50s, have been referred to the public prosecution for legal action. They were remanded in police custody pending further investigation and trial.
