Tuesday’s new recoveries push total number of confirmed infections to 291,468



Saudi Arabia has announced 1,521 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the kingdom to 291,468.

Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday announced 1,521 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the kingdom to 291,468.

The Ministry of Health revealed that 34 people died from complications caused by COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities to 3,233, the ministry said during its press conference.

An addition of 1,640 people have fully recovered, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 255,118. With the new recovered cases, the recovery rate has risen to 87.5 per cent. The ministry conducted more than 50,000 PCR tests over the past 24 hours.

There are 33,117 actives cases, including 1,821 critical patients under intensive care.
