COVID-19: Saudi Arabia announces 1,258 new coronavirus cases, 32 deaths
Further 1,972 recoveries pushing recovered cases rise to 242,053
Dubai: Saudi Arabia today registered 1,258 new coronavirus cases, a significant decline in the daily reported cases since the outbreak of the COVID-19 contagion. This pushes the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 280,093.
The Ministry of Health announced that 32 more people have died due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the death tally to 2,949.
According to the ministry’s latest coronavirus update on Monday, 1,972 infected people have made full recovery, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 242,053. The recovery rate has risen to 85 per cent.
There are still 38,040 active cases receiving the necessary treatment at the Kingdom’s various hospitals and medical facilities.
Riyadh recorded the highest daily reported cases with 89, followed by Hufof with 75, Dammam with 65 and Jeddah with 54.
No coronavirus cases registered among pilgrims.
