COVID-19: Qatar reports significant decline in daily cases

The new cases were detected after conducting 2,710 tests in last 24 hours

Dubai: Qatar is still reporting a significant decline in the daily coronavirus cases detected with only 340 new people testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, Qatar has also seen another 354 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, and three new deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed infection in the country to 106,648 including 3114 active cases under treatment while the total number of recoveries jumped to 103,377 and the death toll to 157.

The ministry said that all of the new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The new cases were detected after conducting 2,710 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 441,700 tests. There are 42 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Eight patients were also admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 128.
