COVID-19: Qatar reports 1,274 new cases, 3 deaths
Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health revealed the detection of 1,274 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 80,876.
According to the ministry’s daily update, three more people have died from the COVID-19 virus, taking the country’s death toll to 76.
The ministry also revealed the full recovery of 1,783 infected patients over the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 58,681.
According to a statement by the ministry, 22,119 are active cases, including 1,173 who are critical, who are still receiving medication at various medical facilities across the country.
The ministry said that 18 new cases have been admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from the infection, bringing the total number of critical cases currently under intensive care to 238.
The new cases were detected from among 4,624 people who have been tested during the 24 hours, raising the total number of tested people to 295,338.
