Coronavirus: Qatar reports 197 new cases
Infection count goes up to 3,428, including five deaths
Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announced 197 new cases of coronavirus reported on Thursday, taking the total number of infections to 3428.
The ministry announced the full recovery of 39 infected people, raising the total number of recovered patients to 373. The newly diagnosed cases are linked to those who had been in contact with the previously announced cases.
They include Qataris, expatriate residents and workers who are all under total quarantine receiving the necessary medical treatment.
The ministry called on community members to adhere strictly to precautions and preventive measures and social distancing as well as to keep a safe distance from others to lessen their chances of contracting the virus.
