Dubai: An Omani man, who went missing four days ago, has been found dead in Wadi Al Amerat, local media reported.

The Royal Oman Police were able to recover the body of the 39-year-old man, Ali Mosbeh Al Rubkhi from the valley after four days of intensive search.

The Royal Police confirmed that the body of Al Rubkhi was retrieved from the flooded valley. The police launched an investigation to determine the cause of his death.

The police had intensified their search after checking about him in all hospitals and whereabouts in Al Amerat.

Hamad Al Rubkhi, the deceased’s brother said: “My brother disappeared on Friday. He was supposed to visit his father’s house in Matrah by a cab, and since then we have not heard anything about him.”

He noted that his brother suffers from a partial mental illness but never was an obstacle to prevent him from getting out of the house. “My brother used to go out as he knew places very well.”
