Fines from RO 100 to RO 1,500 for COVID-19 violations in Oman

Muscat: Major Mohammed Al Hashami from the Directorate of Public Relations at Royal Oman Police said that an operations centre has been activated to receive all calls reporting violations.

Anyone can call in and reports incidents related to violations of the decisions of the Supreme Committee, by just calling 1099.

Heavy fine

Gatherings of any kind remain banned and anyone found violating this by inviting or attending such gatherings would be slapped a heavy fine. The one that invites people for gatherings will be fine RO 1,500 with the attendees to the same get a fine of RO 100.

It was also made amply clear that anyone entering the Sultanate through land and air ports shall register and wear a tracking bracelet. Failure to comply with the same will result in severe penalties and punishment.
