Kuwait’s COVID-19 cases pass 100,000 mark

719 new infections, 3 deaths reported as recoveries hit 91,612



Three more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 588, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.

Cairo: Kuwait’s overall new coronavirus infections Tuesday surpassed the 100,000 mark. The Health Ministry confirmed 719 new cases of the virus over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s infection tally to 100,683.

Three more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 588, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.

There are 99 patients receiving intensive care treatment, he added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.

Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 715,887 after 4,651 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.

The ministry said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have risen to 91,612 after 682 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
