Kuwait: Emir’s health is ‘positively improving’

Kuwait City: Head of the cabinet of ministers, Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah, informed the cabinet that the Emir’s health is seeing ‘positive improvements’.

91-year-old Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah is undergoing medical treatment in the United States, after a successful surgery in Kuwait on July 19.

Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled added, “we pray for a speedy recovery and complete health and wellness, and to return him to the homeland in the near future.”

The Emir received surgery after he was admitted to hospital for a medical check up, his office said in a statement. The statement did not disclose the reason for the surgery or what treatment the Emir is going to receive in the US.
