Dubai: Kuwait’s Al Khaldiya Cooperative Society has closed its doors after 103 workers had tested positive for coronavirus.

The society’s 230 employees were tested for the COVID-19 a few days ago, and the results showed 103 of them were found positive for the virus.

The society pointed out that it had implemented all the necessary preventive measures ranging from closing to sterilising all its facilities since the detection of the first coronavirus cases, just like other societies that have discovered cases.

The repeated cases of infections has prompted the society’s board of directors to close the central market completely after communicating with health authorities.

Due to the detection of new cases of infections, the board requested health authorities to conduct comprehensive examinations for all the staff, and indicated that all facilities will be completely suspended and closed down until further notice.
