Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has advised citizens and residents not to travel, with COVID-19 cases increasing across the world.

“We recommend that you do not travel for the safety of your family and yourself, as travel increases the risk of contracting the virus,” the Ministry of Health said in a Twitter post.

Kuwait airport is scheduled to open at 30 per cent capacity on August 1.

Kuwaiti and all other GCC citizens are barred from travelling to Europe, after the European Union (EU) announced that only 54 countries are allowed to enter the EU.

As of July 10, Kuwait had a total of 53,580 COVID-19 cases and 383 deaths.
