Cairo: Kuwait has recorded 717 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours taking the country’s overall infections to 73,785, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported Wednesday.
The latest cases comprise 470 Kuwaitis and 247 foreign residents, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said.

Three new deaths from COVID-19 were announced, bringing Kuwait’s total fatalities to 489.
There are 117 patients receiving intensive care treatment, Dr. Al Sanad added.
Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 543,858 with 4,397 done over the past 24 hours, the official said.
The Health Ministry also said 692 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, raising to 65,451 the total number of recoveries from the disease in Kuwait.
Kuwait has recently set into motion a plan to gradually return to normal life.
