COVID-19: Bahrain reports 511 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours

The latest cases were detected after conducting 8,801 tests in last 24 hours

Dubai: Bahrain has announced the detection of 511 new cases of coronavirus, taking the overall number of confirmed cases in the kingdom to 32,039.

The Ministry of Health has also reported 693 additional recoveries in the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 27,213.

The latest cases include 251 expatriate workers, while 255 of them were contacts of local cases and five travel-related cases as well.

The ministry affirmed that the new cases were detected after conducting 8,801 COVID-19 tests, which takes the total number of tests done so far to 649,020.

The ministry also announced the death of a 58-year-old male citizen from COVID-19 and expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased. The kingdom’s overall death toll now stands at 104.
