COVID-19: 690 new cases reported in Bahrain

Total number of confirmed infections rise to 63,879

Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has reported another 690 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 63,879.

Three COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the deadly virus, taking the death toll to 220.

The Health Ministry revealed that of today’s 690 new cases, 125 were expatriate workers, 544 contacts of local cases and 21 travel-related.

It said an additional 613 people recovered from COVID-19, pushing the total number of recoveries to 56,700. The ministry added that of the 6,959 active cases, 157 were receiving treatment and 43 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 63,879 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths. The kingdom has also conducted 1,313,471 tests for COVID-19.
