Dubai: Students with disabilities will start the new school year on October 25, the Minister of Labour and Social Development announced.

The return to school for the students comes two weeks after the administrative and teaching staff reported to duty on October 11.

The decision has been taken based on the directives of the Executive Committee chaired by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, First Deputy Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, regarding the 2020-2021 academic year for public schools and rehabilitation centers.

It also seeks to ensure the continuation of the educational, academic and professional achievements of people with disabilities from all ages, the ministry said.

All precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus will be applied to ensure overall safety.
