Bahrain reports highest spike in daily COVID-19 cases

757 new infections reported, 465 coronavirus patients make full recovery

Dubai: Bahrain recorded the highest spike in daily coronavirus cases with 757 new infections, according to the Ministry of Health. The new figure surpassed the highest recorded daily total of 724 cases in June 26.

Out of 11,728 COVID-19 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 757 new cases have been detected among 85 expatriate workers, 668 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel related. This brings the total to 58,207.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health has announced the full recovery of 465 COVID-19 patients, increasing the total to 5,228.

Five more patients have succumbed to the deadly virus, which pushes the total to 208.

There are currently 28 cases in a critical condition, and 93 cases receiving treatment. 5,688 cases are stable out of a total of 5716 active cases.
