Gulf News wrongly reported/published the following:

The decade of ‘1950s’ in the sentence: “In the backdrop of military rule that afflicted the country from 1950s to the decade of 1980s, the South Korean president is elected for a single non-renewable five-year term.” It was part of the ‘South Korea chooses its next president’ report on page 8, The Views section, published on March 23. It should have read as: “In the backdrop of military rule that afflicted the country from 1960s to the decade of 1980s, the South Korean president is elected for a single non-renewable five-year term.”
