Renowned Pakistani chef Tahir Chaudhry dies
Dubai: Tahir Chaudhry, one of Pakistan’s renowned culinary experts, died on Saturday, leaving many social media users in the country saddened and shocked.
The news was posted by the cooking channel, which he worked with, on their social media accounts.
Masala TV, a Pakistan-based 24-hour food channel, wrote on Facebook and Twitter: “Masala TV’s most talented and soft-hearted person chef ‘Tahir Chaudhry’ passed away. We deeply condole on his sad demise. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace (A’ameen)”
Immediately after the news broke, messages of condolences started pouring in on Facebook and Twitter.

The channel was celebrating their 12th anniversary on the same day and Chaudhry was seen marking the occasion with his colleagues in videos and photographs posted by the channel.
According to news reports, Chaudhry died after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Alamgir Khan Swati posted on Facebook: “I met him once, such a humble personality. My mother was crying after hearing the news.”
Rachel Saleem wrote on Facebook: “I wished it was fake news. Sadly it isn’t. Rest in eternal peace. Still can’t believe it. He left too soon.”
