Islamabad/Riyadh: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday arrived in Medina during his one-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

Khan will pay his respects at the Prophet Mohammed's grave and offer prayers at Masjid-i-Nabvi before departing for Riyadh, Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a statement.

Khan, accompanied by Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood, was received by Madina Deputy Governor Prince Saud Bin Khalid Al-Faisal.

This is Khan's fourth visit to Saudi Arabia this year.

A Foreign Office press release termed the Pakistan PM's visit to Saudi Arabia a part of "regular exchanges" between the leadership of the two nations.

"The consultations will cover bilateral matters and recent developments in the regional context," Pakistan's Foreign Office said.
