Pakistan: Facilitation centre set up at Karachi airport for foreign visitors

Karachi: The Sindh Culture and Tourism Department has established a facilitation desk in the terminal building of Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, to help tourists, particularly those arriving from other countries.

Sindh Education and Culture Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, along with Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Investment, Syed Qasim Naveed, jointly inaugurated the tourist facilitation desk in the international arrival lounge of the Karachi Airport.

Sindh Culture Minister said the desk had been established in view of gradual revival of the tourism sector in the region in the post-coronavirus phase.

He acknowledged that establishing the tourist facilitation centre at Karachi Airport was long overdue.

He said the centre provided the facility of online reservation for stay at the motels or resorts at the famous tourist attractions in Sindh.

He said that Sindh had many religious, cultural, and eco-tourism sites, having vast potential of attracting the tourists from all over the world.

The Culture Minister said that Sindh had also world-famous archeological sites like Mohenjo-Daro and Makli that carried massive potential for the prospective tourists desirous to visit the historical sites.
