It has been only a year that Priyanka entered into active politics and was made the party General Secretary in-charge of eastern UP. Against everyone's expectations, she could not garner votes during the 2019 general elections.

Her charisma could not save the Congress also in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections despite some sassy remarks against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Priyanka is often compared with her grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi due to the striking resemblance. Her husband is facing corruption charges over land deal.

Their son Raihan announced his coming of age by voting in the February 8 Delhi elections. He also spoke to the media on the occasion.
