Central Africa ex-militia chief arrested in France for war crimes: ICC

He has been arrested for war crimes and crimes against humanity



The Hague: The former leader of a Christian militia in Central African Republic was arrested in France on Wednesday for war crimes and crimes against humanity, the International Criminal Court said.

Patrice-Edouard Ngaossona, an ex-minister who was also elected to African football's executive board in February, "has been arrested by the authorities of the French Republic", the Hague-based court said in a statement.
