UAE: Three people rescued by Sharjah Police after flood sweeps away vehicle

Incident followed heavy rain in a valley in Sharjah emirate’s Shees area

Sharjah: A team from Khorfakkan Comprehensive Police Station in Sharjah Police rescued three Asian nationals after their vehicle was swept away by floodwaters in a valley in Shees area of the emirate.

All of them were rescued without any injuries. Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Rashid Al Hayyi, Head of the Khorfakkan Comprehensive Police Station, said Sharjah Police always alerts citizens and residents to stay away from valleys and areas of flooding after rain, in order to preserve their safety.
