Abu Dhabi: Public parking in Abu Dhabi will be free over the upcoming Eid holiday, starting from Tuesday, May 11 onwards, and no Darb tolls will be collected during the holiday.
The free parking and no-toll period will continue until the end of the official holiday on Shawwal 3, the emirate’s transport regulator has announced in a statement.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) added that the M18 parking lot in Musaffah Industrial area will be free during the Eid holiday.
Following the Eid holiday, Darb tolls will once again be implemented during the regular non-Ramadan hours from 7am to 9am, and from 5pm to 7pm, every day except Friday.
The ITC has called upon motorists to adhere to all parking and traffic regulations over the Eid break, including residential area parking guidelines from 9pm to 8am every day.
Meanwhile, public buses will operate under the official holiday schedule, the ITC said.
