Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to make use of the alert feature offered on their smartphone app to stay informed about changing weather conditions and emergencies.
The Abu Dhabi Police app offers alerts on conditions such as rain, fog, dust and traffic congestion in a bid to enhance safety on the roads. Upon receiving the alerts, motorists must reduce their speed to 80 kilometres per hour or less.
They can also opt for alternative routes to avoid traffic jams. Users must turn on notifications for the app to receive the alerts as soon as they are issued.
