UAE President amends provisions of law about organisation of Presidential Court

‘Minister of the Presidential Court’ to be replaced with the word ‘Chairman’

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a new federal decree- law, amending some provisions of federal decree-law No.4 of 2004 regarding the establishment and regulation of the Presidential Court.

Under federal decree-law No.26 of 2023, the term ‘Minister of the Presidential Court’ shall be replaced with the word ‘Chairman of the Presidential Court’ wherever it is mentioned in federal decree-law No.4 of 2004, or in any other legislation, decrees or decision unless the context otherwise requires.

As per the amended decree, the new title is Chairman of the Presidential Court, and the term “Minister of Presidential Court” shall be no longer used. Any text or provision that contradict the provisions of the new decree-law shall be revoked.
