Fire breaks out in Dubai's Business Bay
No injuries were reported, says Dubai Civil Defence official
Dubai: A fire erupted in an under-construction building in the Business Bay area on Saturday morning in Dubai.
No one was injured in the moderate blaze.
A Dubai Civil Defence official said the command room was alerted about the fire at 10:40am and firefighters from Zaabeel, Al Quoz and Union fire stations rushed to extinguish the fire.
“It was a moderate fire in the parking floors of the under-construction building. No injuries were reported,” the spokesperson said. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
Smoke from the parking floors rose along the height of the building and spread out in the neighbourhood. Videos posted on Twitter showed emergency vehicles on the scene.
