Hasantuk: Dubai installs Dh30 million fire detection system for low-income households
Project initiated by Dubai Crown Prince includes insurance coverage in case of fire
Dubai: Following the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and in accordance with the Executive Council’s decision for Dubai, the General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence has started the implementation of a fire detection system, called Hasantuk, for low-income households in Dubai.
The objective is to ensure utmost security and safety throughout the emirate and improve residents’ quality of life. The Dubai government has allocated more than Dh30 million to provide assistance to low-income families. The new system makes use of a variety of smart technologies to maintain the safety of homes round the clock and to notify occupants in the case of a fire or emergency.

Identifying beneficiaries
The General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence is responsible for providing and overseeing early-warning devices for fire detection in Dubai. The eligible homeowners and residents of properties in Dubai, who are low-income citizens of the country, will be identified in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development and the Dubai Community Development Authority.
