UAE: Police warn against text messages claiming your shipment is stuck
Ajman: The Ajman Police have warned the public against falling into a trap by responding to messages purportedly sent by shipping and logistic companies.
Taking to X, the Ajman Police General Headquarters said fraudsters impersonating these companies send messages to members of the public, claiming that their shipments have been held up. To get them released, the targeted person is asked to provide “updated” personal details and also make a payment.
“Do not respond to text messages that impersonate shipping companies, stating that there are stuck shipments and asking you update your data and pay fees,” the police said.
