Huawei patents smartphone with triple flip cameras

The triple camera setup will be able to flip 180° to double as the front-facing cameras

Beijing: Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has reportedly filed a patent for a smartphone with three flip camera design.

The patent, which was approved last week, i.e. on December 17, had been filed with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) back on January 9, this year.

While the design is similar to that of the ASUS Zenfone 6, but the upcoming Huawei's smartphone will feature three cameras instead of two. The triple camera setup will be able to flip 180° to double as the front-facing cameras, news portal GizmoChina reported recently.

There are around 12 patent images included, showing a full-screen phone with a triple camera.

Additionally, Huawei is working to launch P30 Lite (2020) in Europe soon. The smartphone giant had unveiled the original P30 Lite in March this year.

Details are scarce about the P30 Lite (2020) right now, but it will likely come with some upgrades over the P30 Lite which is powered by the Kirin 710 system on chip (SoC).

The device is expected to come in Blue and Breathing Crystal colours and is likely to carry a price tag of 349 euros ($390) or around Rs 27,000.
