Price of chicken slipped by 60 fils-a-kilo, but seafood Kingfish and shrimp get pricier

It would be a great time to get some pre-weekend grocery shopping done today as prices of most fruits stayed stable, with the cost of oranges and lemons dropping as well. So maybe whip up either a salad or a healthy shake to keep your immunity in check!

While the cost of oranges slipped by 30 fils to Dh4.5 a-kilo from Dh4.8 a day before, the starting price of lemons fell by Dh1 to Dh4 from Dh5, and the most expensive range of lemons are now Dh5.8, from Dh7 on Tuesday. 

However, if you're in the mood for some chicken, it would great time to stock up as the price of frozen chicken  slipped 60 fils to Dh12.3 from Dh12.9 earlier for one kilogram.

On the other hand, while price of Salmon stayed at lower levels (after getting cheaper by Dh4.9 on Tuesday), the starting price of Kingfish has risen by Dh2 to Dh58.9 from Dh56.9 on Tuesday and the cost of small-sized shrimp has gained by Dh2 to Dh38.9 from Dh36.9 earlier.

But the cost of fish like Hamour, Seabream and Seabass stayed the same. So, buy proteins that have reduced in prices if you are looking to save up, while seeking out a cost-effective lifestyle. 

Families with children will be relieved to know that milk prices have remained unchanged for weeks together in Dubai.
Stock up on your bottled water supply since prices have remained steady for weeks at a stretch.
Buy some pasta for the family mid-week. Prices are not on an upward spiral.
You can add some extra sugar in your coffee. Prices have been in check.
If you love dates, there's good news in store. Date prices have remained constant for a while.
Whip up some scrambled eggs for the family breakfast on Thursday. Egg prices are under control.
