Baquba: A suicide bomber struck an Iraqi police recruitment centre on Tuesday, killing at least 28 people and wounding 45 others, security officials said.
Officials said a man wearing an explosives-laden vest arrived by car and was stopped by police near Jalawla town in Diyalah.
The man then got out of the car, ran into the crowd and detonated his bomb.
