Mosul: A radio newscaster and her husband have been found dead in their car in Mosul, a police official said on Friday.

Iman Youssef Abdullah worked for a radio station of President Jalal Talabani while her husband, Moayad Hamid, was deputy head of the Mosul labourers' union.

Police Brigadier General Abdul Karim Al Jubouri said the two were found shot several times and their bodies burnt in the car.

Abdullah is the 100th journalist killed in Iraq since the US-led war began.
