Tehran: An Iranian revolutionary court has sentenced US-Iranian journalist Roxana Saberi to eight years in jail, her lawyer said on Saturday.
Saberi was accused of spying for the United States.
"She has been sentenced to eight years...I will appeal," said lawyer Abdolsamad Khorramshahi said.
Saberi has been detained in a notorious Tehran prison since January and went on trial behind closed doors on Monday.
