The Hague: The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor says he has strong evidence supporting his Darfur genocide case against Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir.
Luis Moreno Ocampo says he has more than 30 witnesses who will testify that Al Bashir controlled a genocidal campaign aimed at wiping out three ethnic African tribes in the Darfur region.
Moreno Ocampo was speaking Tuesday, the day before judges at the world's first permanent war crimes tribunal announce whether they will issue arrest warrants for al-Bashir.
Prosecutors sought the warrants for Al Bashir in July on 10 charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
Al Bashir denies the charges. Sudan does not accept the court's jurisdiction.
