Baghdad: A suicide bomber killed up to 40 people and wounded 30 outside a Baghdad college on Sunday as a string of car bombings and rockets strikes hit the capital.
The bomber, wearing a vest packed with explosives, blew himself up as guards stopped him as he tried to enter the grounds of Baghdad's Economy and Administration College.
Most of the victims were students, witnesses said.
Earlier, rockets and mortar bombs crashed into a market in southern Baghdad, killing at least 10 people.
A car bomb killed one person and wounded four in central Baghdad, not far from the Iranian embassy, police said.
In the Karrada district, at least four people were wounded when a car bomb exploded along the busy street.
