Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki on Monday urged Iraq's neighbours to cancel Iraq's debts, saying his government should not have to pay off the debts incurred by Saddam Hussain's regime.
Al Maliki also urged Arab countries to reopen their embassies in the capital as a show of support for his government.
Al Maliki was speaking in Baghdad as he was leaving for a meeting in Kuwait involving Iraq's neighbours and world powers.
They will discuss ways to help Iraq secure its borders and improve internal security and stability.
