Cairo: At least eight people were killed and seven others injured in a car crash in Egypt on Saturday, a health ministry official said.
The accident took place when a trailer hit the car from behind on the Cairo-Alexandria highway, killing eight of its passengers, Xinhua reported.
“The seven injured people have been admitted to hospital and most of them were in critical condition,” said Mohammad Sultan, head of the health ministry’s emergency care department.
