Yemen arrests 11 suspected Al Qaida militants

Sanaa: Eleven suspected Al Qaida militants have been detained in Yemen, a government website said on Thurday.

A website run by the Ministry of Defence, www.26sep.net, said the arrests were made in the capital and the group provided information on “terrorist acts'' carried out by Al Qaida.

No further details were given, but a the deputy prime minister for security affairs is expected to hold a news conference for more information.
