Manama: Saudi Arabia has arrested a drug smuggler who hid 1,120 Captagon pills inside his agal, the black rope used to hold the gotra, the traditional head covering worn by Gulf nationals.
The smuggler was spotted by a customs officer in the north of the country who was intrigued by the seemingly heavier than usual agal on the traveller’s head.
The amphetamine-type stimulants were discovered after the officer insisted on a thorough inspection of the agal, Saudi daily Al Watan reported.
